Swim Coaches
Kylie started swimming for the Olney Mill Swim Club at the age of 7 before joining the Tanterra Tarpons when she was 13. She swam year-round for RMSC as one of their “mini’s” before joining the Flying Gull Aquatic Club at the age of 9. After 9 years with FGAC, Kylie made a move to swim for Machine Aquatics.
Kylie swam for Sherwood High School all 4 years and was nominated as Captain her senior year. Kylie led the girl’s team to a second place finish at the Maryland State Championship her senior year. Kylie graduated from Towson University with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education. Kylie is a special educator is Montgomery County Public Schools.
Kylie is looking forward to another great season with the Tarpons!

Coach Burnsky was very excited to join the Tanterra Tarpons in their 2016 season. He swam with the Olney Mill Otters for fourteen years, serving as an assistant coach and Head Coach for ten additional years. Ryan held many Olney Mill records from 8 and under through the 13-14 age groups and held the MCSL Record in 8 and Under and 9-10 25 Breast for a short stint. Ryan swam for RMSC and Sherwood High School from 2001-2005, lettering all four years, and being named Captain for his Junior and Senior season. Ryan was also a four year member of Sherwood lacrosse. Ryan briefly (very briefly) continued to swim at Virginia Tech after high school. Ryan double majored in History and Secondary Education graduating from Towson University. Ryan currently is a Social Studies teacher at Sherwood High School. Ryan is currently the head Coach of Sherwood Swim and Dive.

Claudia has been a Tanterra Tarpon since she was 7 years old. She has been swimming her whole life and is now in her final year as a graduating senior at Sherwood High School. Claudia has loved being a Preteam Assistant Coach for years and is so excited to be the Head Coach this year!
As Claudia finishes her final year at Sherwood High School she can’t wait to start her next journey studying elementary education in the fall. She anticipates an amazing and memorable final summer with the Tarpons!

Dive Coaches
Lilly is excited to return as the Head Dive Coach for Tanterra. She has been a dedicated member of the Tarpon dive team since she was 10 and has been competing in MCDL since the age of 6. Lilly began diving year-round in high school. She was a member of Stone Ridge School’s Varsity Swim and Dive team all four years of high school, where she competed in various championship meets.
Lilly graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. Lilly is an elementary school teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools. She is looking forward to having another great season this summer!
Maddie is excited to return again this year as Assistant Coach. She has been a diver since age 5, and has competed in dive and swim ever since. She was a diver and swimmer for Sherwood High School all four years and was dive captain in her senior year, competing in Metros, Regionals, and Divisionals.
Maddie attends the University of Maryland, majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in English.
Maddie loves seeing all the kids come out to dive, and is excited for another great summer. GO TARPONS!
